Return on Investment
Show the videos to prospects with similar challenges to help them understand your approach and reduce perceived risk.
You can get multiple deliverables from the one project, for example repurposing footage into cut downs for socials.
An effective testimonial requires a structured narrative that guides the viewer through a logical progression. We focus on capturing a compelling story arc, these points form the basis of our interview questions:
- The challenge: Exploring the specific problem or frustration the customer faced before discovering your organisation.
- Why they chose you: Discussing the evaluation process and what made your offering stand out.
- The experience: Detailing what it was actually like to work with your team or product.
- The outcome: Focusing on the tangible results, improvements, and positive changes your organisation delivered.
- The recommendation: Concluding with a genuine, direct endorsement encouraging others to engage your services.
Look for clients who strongly represent your ideal target market. When prospects watch the video, they should immediately recognise themselves in the speaker’s situation. Ideal candidates have experienced a clear transformation or achieved a specific, positive result through your services.
They do not need to be professional presenters. As long as they are willing to speak genuinely about their experience, a relaxed interview environment will draw out the enthusiasm and clarity needed for a compelling final edit.
Absolutely. In many cases, videos created for your website, events or presentations can also be edited into shorter versions for social media.
For example, a longer video may be repurposed into:
- Short LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok videos.
- Customer testimonial snippets.
- Short promotional clips highlighting key messages.
- Behind-the-scenes content.
Repurposing content is often one of the most cost-effective ways to maximise the value of your investment in video production, as it allows you to create a library of content from a single filming project.
When planning a project, we will discuss all the possible ways the footage could be used and ensure the right material is captured to suit different platforms and formats.
Depending on the complexity and number of videos, most projects are completed in under a month, including planning, filming, editing. There may be a few days going back and forth on pre-production or scripting, filming may take half a day or a day. We’ll usually have a first draft video back to you within a week of filming. Subsequent rounds of changes will be made in a couple of days of your feedback.
If we’re making multiple videos we will write shot lists and batch like scenes/ locations together and film them at the same time to keep costs down.
The number of revisions included is outlined in our Terms and Conditions, which form part of our proposal and agreement.
Generally, we allow for two rounds of revisions to ensure the final videos meet your requirements.
To help keep projects running efficiently, we recommend consolidating feedback from all stakeholders into a single list of changes for each review round. This helps avoid delays and ensures everyone is working towards the same outcome.
Minor changes are usually straightforward, however significant changes to the agreed concept, script or direction after filming may result in additional costs.
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full details regarding revisions and amendments.
We can discuss this in the discovery stage. Some clients want it “done for you”, where as others like to do what they can and reduce costs.
Generally though, since we’re often filming your staff at your premises, it makes more sense for you to organise people and locations for the filming day, since you have the relationships and contacts.
So there’s the time you spend organising in pre-production, and the time staff are involved with filming.
If we’re filming an interview with, lets say a CEO or director, they only need to be present for the 20 minutes we’re doing the interview. They don’t need to hang around while we set up and down.
We do need to be mindful of people’s privacy. It’s a natural curtessy that we have permission to display people. Here’s some options:
- Put signs up at events and make an announcement at the start, giving folk an option to move to a spot where we know not to film.
- Get signed consent forms, we can help provide these
- Use staff, actors or friends to simulate customers or other participants
- Even when using staff, we’ll often recommend getting a signed consent, in case they leave soon after filming.
It’s generally considered acceptable if you’re in a public place and there are other people around but not featuring.
