The Brief
Hume City Council wanted a number of videos made of different tourism assets in the municipality to include in a 'virtual room' 3D presentation.
Our Solution
We looked at a number of options, using residents as talent but decided to keep it simple. Short montage videos cut to music. Here's one for Urbn Surf, close to Melbourne Airport. We picked a reasonably bright day with some sun. I filmed before, during and after sunset giving a much greater variety of shots in the changing light. Footage cuts are timed with the music beat to add energy and I've used some of the sound recorded when filming as foley.
The Outcome
The video is short and engaging and gives a clear picture what happens at Urbn Surf. It hopefully catches the eye and works with or without sound.
